Jon Medearis, CFA
Managing Partner
Jon is the Portfolio Manager at Guava Capital. Prior to Guava Capital, Jon worked at a single family office, Alder Companies, based in Denver, CO. His primary focus was investing in both direct public and private equity. Jon additionally assisted in portfolio management and other alternative investments. Before Alder Companies, Jon worked at Perella Weinberg Partners, an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer. He served on both the portfolio management team, which oversaw $10B in assets, and the public markets research team where he evaluated investments. Jon is a CFA Charterholder and graduated from the University of Colorado, with a B.S. in Finance.
Dan Guetig
Partner
Dan is a Partner at Guava Capital. Dan has an extensive background providing healthcare software consulting services to large national health systems. His experience with Electronic Medical Record (Epic) and Decision Support (Strata Decision Technology) platforms spans the entire lifecycle of both on-prem and SaaS product offerings. Dan’s involvement in the operations of multiple tech-enabled companies was the catalyst for his initial interest and eventually full-time transition into the investment business. Dan received his education from the University of Miami with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, with an emphasis in business and engineering management.
Luke Jones
Partner
Luke is a Partner at Guava Capital. He has a diverse background serving multiple functions within the investment business. Most recently, Luke was a Client Advisor and member of the Investment Committee at Obermeyer Wood Investment Counsel, a $2B investment office based out of Aspen, CO, where he managed assets for HNW/UHNW families and institutions, specifically in the public markets. Before being in an advisory position, Luke was an Associate at Perella Weinberg Partners, an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer with $10B of discretionary investment authority on behalf of large endowments and foundations. Luke received his education from Baylor University with a B.A. in Business Administration, with an emphasis in marketing and non-profit development.
